Awesome first day! Saturday 22 apr 2006
We had a great first day. At 9am some of the organisers had arrived to make sure the courts were ready for action (***BIG CLAP FOR THEM!***). There were ALOT of leaves on the court and it was somewhat wet from the previous nights' rain... I guess that's the price we pay for wanting to play in the shade! - LOTS of leaves to clear! We borrowed brooms from a nearby cleaner and began to clear away all the leaves, and spread out all the water. At 930am some of the team managers went to the nearby station to meet up with our teams.

Here are some of the 500+!! photos we took on this day. If anybody wants a CD of ALL the photos we took, bring a blank CD next time and I will burn all of them for you:)

Many thanks to all organisers, team managers and players for a wonderful first session. We will certainly see you more often to continue this fun event! For those who have to take a 1 or 2 week break for exams, all the best to you!
BEFORE
By 10am about 60 guys from 7 teams had arrived to take part in this fun street soccer event. There were people of mang ages ranging from 13 to about 20. But in the end the teams were fairly evenly matched and the games were all competitive. After a short briefing by the "boss" of the tournament Allen, and a short time of interaction between teams, the games kicked off.
